Abam Mambo
Senior Consultant
Abam Mambo is a lawyer, writer, and ILG Senior Consultant, focused on workplace culture. She helps organizations boost employee engagement by building inclusive, diverse and safe workplaces. Specifically, she speaks to, trains, advises and coaches organizations on belonging and community, diversity and inclusion, boosting employee engagement, and personal development.
Abam’s international career spans employment law, investigations, and corporate compliance, and she recently held regional legal and compliance director roles at Microsoft and GlaxoSmithKline. A former employment litigator, she has advised and trained C-suite executives, HR, management and employees on fair employment practices, diversity and inclusion, and speak up culture. She has lived and led teams in North America, Africa and Asia, and she examines how culture influences the workplace. Abam is a great storyteller, captivating speaker and master at synthesizing unrelated information into inspiring, educative narratives. She has spoken on real and virtual stages in over 25 cities around the world, to organizations including the World Health Organization, Microsoft, GlaxoSmithKline, The Boardroom Africa, GW Pharmaceuticals, Transparency International, among others.
She is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as a contributing editor for the Michigan Law Review. She is admitted to the Minnesota and US Supreme Court bars, and received her BA, summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
