LaTonya J. Pegues brings a wealth of experience and non-traditional solutions. After working in the aerospace and telecommunications industries in a variety of positions; including satellite and missions engineer, low temperature physics researcher, and communications and PR expert, she founded BOAZ Enterprises a training, consulting, and communications and marketing firm and also serves as a Consutlant for Inclusive Leaders Group.
She has provided services for clients in Africa, Asia, Europe, and throughout North America. She is an award winner, and is known as, “The Unconscious Bias Trainer,” LaTonya was a 2018 South by Southwest (SXSW) keynote speaker on Unconscious Bias. Her session was one of the top ten searched sessions in the interactive festival that year.
In addition, she was an Unconscious Bias panelist during the National Diversity Council ‘s conference where President Barack Obama, and General Colin Powell gave keynote addresses.
Based in Austin, TX, Ms. Pegues is a member of the SXSW Advisory Board, has made significant contributions to the University of Texas Club Ambassador’s Council, is an alumna of the Essentials class of Leadership Austin, an alumna of the UCLA Anderson School’s Riordan MBA Fellows Program, and is an alumna from the Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business Executive Education in association with Google where she received their Digital Excellence Program Certification.
She is a proud graduate of Howard University, based in Washington, D.C, where she studied physics and mathematics. She is also author with a soon to be released on Unconscious Bias.
